Aquagation High-Performance Water Chillerscome in a range of sizes from 1 ½ HP thru 5 HP and will maintain 1500-5000 gallons of storage water at temperatures from 65 to 80 degrees.
High-performance scroll compressors ensure reliable performance for years to come. Minimum Seer rating of 13 makes these extremely energy efficient.
Higher Seer rated Chillers available. Easy to install with fused disconnect and electronic controller installed.
Available in 208/230v single or three-phase.
How To Size Water Chillers
Water weight = 8.3 Pounds
Multiply by gallons in reservoir
This is the BTU’s required to chill 1 Degree of water
Example: 1000 Gallons of water x 8.3 Pounds water weight = 8,300 BTU
Multiply this by the temperature rise in 24 hour period. If water rises in temperature from 60 Degrees to 70 Degrees = 10 Degree Temperature Rise/24 Hours
Example: 8,300 BTU x 10 Degree Temp Rise = 83,000 BTU Requirement
Divide this by 12,000 BTU (Per 1 HP) to get runtime/24 hours
Example: 83,000 BTU / 12,000 BTU (1 HP Chiller) = 6.92 Hours Runtime/24 Hours
Chillers can operate 18-20 hours per day without issue but lower run times will save on electricity consumption. We suggest 10 hours per day max runtime.
